Chapter 8: The Origin of Each Alien Species

"Brother Ji Wufan, we are already familiar with your identity and background. Out of courtesy, we six civilized species will give you a brief introduction of ourselves. Then, the other five will leave for their own matters, and I'll be the one hosting you this time. You're welcome to stay here for as many days as you like." Buweiro said to me as I snapped back to attention.
"Let me introduce myself first. As I mentioned earlier, we are the original inhabitants of this planet, though we existed long before humans. As one family, we should care for each other. If humanity ever evolves into a Level-1 civilization and achieves spiritual and intellectual enlightenment, the Interstellar Alliance will reveal itself to you and no longer isolate the human world. I'll explain this in more detail over the next few days. For now, let the other species introduce themselves."
Next to introduce herself was a stunning blonde woman with blue eyes. She looked at me and spoke in Chinese: "Brother Ji Wufan, our species is also native to Earth. Buweiro's civilization, which existed 2.9 billion years ago, was one of Earth's first intelligent species. They advanced to a highly developed civilization but were wiped out by interstellar war, with only a few elites surviving on battleships.
Our civilization emerged 1.8 billion years ago, 1.1 billion years after theirs, and we disappeared for similar reasons. We call ourselves the 'Arianese Civilization'. In modern history, during the spring of 1947, some of our people met with humans. The person we encountered was an American naval admiral named Richard Byrd.
We met him at our base in Antarctica, hoping he could pass a message to human leaders. We didn't want to see humanity destroy itself with nuclear weapons. We warned that by using such weapons, humanity would eventually destroy itself and pollute the Earth. This has been the fate of not only Earth civilizations, but also other intelligent species on other planets. They develop technological civilizations, only to wipe themselves out before even reaching the status of a basic civilization.
Admiral Byrd passed our message to his leaders, who took our advice to some extent. Later, they and other world leaders agreed to limit the use and production of nuclear weapons, though our existence was never made public. If you're interested, you can look into it."
"Arianese... Antarctica... Admiral Byrd... 1947... World War II..." I thought, recalling that I had seen some of this information before in a short video.
The third species to introduce themselves left me stunned once again. The moment I first saw him, I didn't dare look too closely. It turned out to be the legendary reptilian, with a green, scaly head, and a terrifying, ferocious face—more frightening than the mantis-like alien I had seen before. Moreover, the reptilian was much taller and more robust than the Arianese species, with sharp claws for hands and clothing that emitted a blue-green glow.
I had heard many legends about reptilians and assumed they were aliens, but once again, my guess was wrong.
At this point, the tall and sturdy reptilian looked at me and said, "Hello, Brother Ji Wufan. Our race is also indigenous to Earth, belonging to the third generation of Earth's civilizations. We evolved into an intelligent species during the age of the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs appeared on Earth 300 million years ago, far earlier than humans.
Our civilization gradually matured about 63 million years ago, evolving from some species of dinosaurs that developed intelligence. Some of these species were discovered by your people and even given names, such as iguanodons, deinonychus, styxosaurus, hadrosaurids, therizinosaurs, ornithopods, dromeosaurs, velociraptors, and so on. Later, a war broke out, and the surviving elite members of our race retreated to live underground, where we remain to this day. We are known as the 'Siazhedowa Civilization'.
Our race has many branches, and some of our younger members are mischievous. Occasionally, a few of them violate alliance rules and come to the human world for fun, which is why they were seen by ancient humans. Your people called them monsters, while ancient Westerners called them devils. These days, they are referred to as reptilians.
In fact, these youngsters mean no harm to humans; they come to the surface out of sheer curiosity. Some legends say we harm people, but in reality, it's because they accidentally encountered humans and, in their fear, acted first. Some of our young only fought back in self-defense. Our race is your predecessors' predecessor, and we will not harm humans without special cause."
I never expected the reptilians to be a civilization from the age of the dinosaurs, or more accurately, their descendants—just like humans, they are indigenous to Earth. It was truly unexpected. Upon reflection, it makes sense. History books say that humans have only existed for over two million years, and we've already developed advanced technological civilizations. Dinosaurs existed on Earth for 300 million years—it's no surprise that a civilization would have emerged!
After hearing the reptilian's explanation, I couldn't help but think, "Even though we're all natives of Earth—like the Sanziyao Civilization, Arianese Civilization, Siazhedowa Civilization, Atlantean Civilization, and Human Civilization—the height differences between us are pretty extreme. But most of them look fairly similar to us, some even quite attractive. So why do the reptilians look so ugly? The gap is huge! Also, the first three races mentioned that their technology was far more advanced than ours, but they were all destroyed by wars. What exactly happened? I'll have to ask Buweiro later."
The fourth to introduce themselves was the Atlantean race, who looked very similar to humans, just like the Atlantean girl I had seen earlier.
Buweiro had already told me about four prehistoric civilizations that existed before humanity, and now three had been introduced. The last one was the Atlantean civilization. There were also two other species who looked and felt completely different from humans—they must be true extraterrestrials.
As I quickly analyzed the situation, my eyes were drawn to the handsome Atlantean man.
"Hello, Brother Ji Wufan," said the man in a robe with vivid images, as he noticed me looking at him. "We belong to the Atlantean civilization, which is the closest in time to human civilization. Unlike the other three, whose civilizations are separated by over a billion years, making their cultures, technology, and beliefs completely different from yours, the gap between our civilizations is only about 12,000 years. Many of our remnants still exist on the surface of the Earth, and humans have uncovered and studied them. This is why many of you believe in our existence and are eager to find us. However, due to alliance rules, we cannot reveal ourselves until your spiritual and technological development reaches a level recognized by the Alliance."
"Spiritual development, are you referring to 'spirituality'? And what level of technology do we need to reach for you to recognize us?" I quickly asked after hearing the Atlantean man's introduction.
I had come across the term "spirituality" on Tiktok not long ago. It roughly meant that if humanity wanted to advance its civilization to the next level and enter the fourth dimension, we first needed to elevate our spirituality. I didn't take it seriously at the time, mostly because I didn't believe it. But now, realizing it's true and happening to me, I wish I had paid more attention to it earlier.
"Spirituality isn't as complicated as you think. What you saw was from influencers or content creators trying to boost their views and clicks. They're clever, weaving some science into these imaginative theories to make them sound interesting. Their creativity is impressive," responded another alien standing next to the Atlantean man. He spoke in fluent Chinese, but without moving his mouth—it was translated through a nanotechnology chip in his body.
What surprised me the most was how well this alien knew about humanity, even about the current state of my country. It felt as though he had a complete understanding of everything, which left me feeling utterly helpless.
This alien was about 2 meters tall, with a unique purple skin. His head resembled that of a goat, though without the horns. His eyes were deep and wise, and overall, he gave off the impression of an intelligent being with a commanding presence. Though he looked a bit unusual, compared to the reptilian, the descendant of dinosaurs, he was much more pleasant to look at.
This being, whom I decided to call "the wise goat", continued speaking to me: "We are an intelligent civilization from the Orion constellation. You know of Orion, of course. Where you live, our constellation is visible in three out of four seasons, except in summer. It's especially prominent in winter."
Finally, I had guessed correctly. I had been wondering if this wise goat was an alien from Orion. The name "Orion" always struck me as powerful and formidable, suggesting a civilization that is fierce, strong, and brave. And it turns out I was right—they are indeed from Orion, and they exude intelligence.
"The stars of Orion that you humans see with the naked eye are all stellars, but there are many planets within the constellation's star field that harbor life and have developed civilizations. Some of these civilizations are very primitive, while others are highly advanced. However, the Alliance has sealed off the Solar system, so your technology cannot detect them. In Orion's region of space, there aren't many species that have reached the level of a primary civilization. Each species differs in appearance and mindset, and not all primary civilizations in Orion have joined the Alliance. Only our species has joined Earth's Interstellar Alliance."
As I finally managed to close my gaping mouth, the wise goat continued, "As for the spiritual development I mentioned earlier, the Alliance simply means that humanity's mindset needs to become more upright, honest, and principled. It's not as complicated as the 'spirituality' you're thinking of. Right now, human thoughts are generally driven by selfishness, the pursuit of power, exploitation, violence, jealousy, indulgence, and achieving goals by any means necessary.
Think about it carefully—if you were a member of the Alliance, would you dare invite humanity as it is now to join? Once humans develop evil intentions, it would be like inviting a tiger into your home. In the best-case scenario, humans could overtake the Alliance; in the worst case, the Alliance would become enslaved. Only when humanity abandons these negative tendencies and embraces honesty, rejects greed for power, avoids underhanded schemes, and instead pursues technology and a desire to explore, will the Alliance consider cooperation.
This time, the Interstellar Alliance chose a spokesperson to convey this message to humanity, and the requirement was someone who is upright, kind, brave, and full of love. You fit all of these, which is why Buweiro chose you."
I see now. The wise goat's explanation made everything suddenly clear to me, and I couldn't help but nod in understanding.
