Chapter 7: The Six Alien Species

After talking with Buweiluo for a while, I confirmed that the large machines here were scientific devices used for major projects. One alien alone couldn't operate them; it required the cooperation of many to work together. They work, research, and live together, occasionally heading out for field investigations.

Not only that, but the machines here were also capable of movement and flight. They were agile and lightweight, with no signs of sluggishness. Some of the smallest machines were the size of glass marbles. I was tempted to touch one, but then I thought better of it—after all, I was just a guest here, and the last thing I wanted was to set off an alarm and cause trouble for my hosts.

Of course, this fascinating space wasn't just filled with aliens and advanced technology. There were many other extraordinary things too—many incredible species that couldn't be found on the surface. Some looked like 5D holograms, and if it weren't for a few passing through me, I wouldn't have been able to tell they were virtual. There were also moving plants, UFOs, intelligent robots, and semi-biological, semi-mechanical life forms, among others.

The ground beneath me was paved with a strange kind of metal. I walked for a long time but couldn't spot any seams or welds. The universal energy field constantly adjusted the spatial conditions around me, making the environment as comfortable as the outside world, no matter where I went.

As we continued walking, I noticed some aliens flying around, just like I had seen when I first arrived. Others were using flying vehicles, which seemed very convenient. Later, I learned that different species had different habits.

"I had you walk so you could get a good look at the Alliance headquarters. But if you'd rather not walk, we can fly," Buweiluo said, noticing my envious gaze at the flying aliens.

"Uh, no, that's okay. I actually enjoy walking like this," I replied, snapping back to reality after a few seconds.

We kept walking, and this time, I looked up, my expression shifting from awe to confusion. Above us, various 5D images were projected, and this time I could see them clearly. To my surprise, I even saw familiar images—like Arabic numerals, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

It wasn't the numbers that made me stop in my tracks. What really made me widen my eyes was seeing virtual images displaying the current state of humanity. The footage featured important figures—people I regularly see on TV or my phone—some from China, others from various countries around the world. Every moment, data was flowing into different machines, showing that the actions of humanity were being monitored, even controlled by aliens, and yet none of us had any idea.

"Don't just stand there," Buweiluo said. "We've been monitoring you for a long time, from the dawn of human civilization until now. In fact, we've even influenced the decisions of certain key figures in your history, changing the course of events. If you're interested, I could show you authentic footage of ancient times in your country. It would blow your mind—it's nothing like your historical dramas. Seeing real history would completely upend your current understanding."

Without realizing it, I had stopped walking, lost in thought. It was hard to believe that the very powerful figures we humans look up to were, in the eyes of the Alien Alliance, merely pawns as well. At that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness. I declined Buweiluo's offer to view the ancient recordings, thinking it would be better to wait until I felt emotionally ready to take it all in.

"Wait, are those serpent people and mermaids? Are these serpent people the ancient ancestors of our Chinese civilization?" After walking a few more steps, I suddenly noticed beings with human upper bodies and snake-like lower bodies. These serpent people were tall, their clothing displaying vivid images. Their upper bodies looked somewhat human, but their faces and movements were slightly different, resembling humans about 80-90%. Seeing them immediately reminded me of the Chinese legends of Fuxi and Nuwa, so I quickly asked Buweiluo.

Before I continue, let me clarify: I don't have many specific hobbies. I mainly like staying in shape and, when I have free time, I enjoy reading history books—especially those about my own country. Additionally, I also saw mermaids here, and there were many different types. Some were stunningly beautiful, to the point that I was breathless, while others looked ordinary, and a few were even rather unattractive.

"These serpent people are aliens from Sirius. They have an advanced technological civilization and are a free-spirited species that values independence. They haven't joined our Alliance, but as long as they don't cause trouble on Earth, we coexist peacefully.

In ancient times, the Sirius species enjoyed visiting Earth for research, and some of them settled here. The mermaids you saw are a marine species from a planet in the Sirius system. When they came to Earth, they preferred building their bases underwater, and sometimes they appeared on the surface, which led your ancestors to call them 'mermaids'. In reality, they have their own name."

Buweiluo explained this to me as we walked, occasionally pointing at other aliens, which made my heart race. I worried that his behavior might attract their attention and get us into trouble. Fortunately, my concerns were unnecessary.

He continued, "As for whether the Sirius species has any connection to your ancestors, I can only say there is a slight connection, but it's not significant. Like I mentioned earlier, when the Sirius species came to Earth, they loved conducting research all over the world.

In ancient times, they interacted with early humans and even kept them for study at one point. For example, the Dogon tribe in Africa, which still exists today, has remained isolated from other cultures, preserving their ancient calendar and traditions without outside influence.

The Sirius species also taught your ancestors many things. Since ancient humans hadn't developed written language at the time, most knowledge was passed down orally. Over time, these stories became more and more fantastical, eventually turning into legends and myths.

This is especially true for your country. Throughout history, various cultural clashes and ethnic integrations have occurred, turning ancient history into a mix of legends, with no clear order or consistency. If you're interested, I can tell you more about it in detail."

"I remember Sirius is a binary star system, and it doesn't seem to have any planets, so where would a race and civilization come from?" It was truly incredible. I wanted to ask Buweiluo to continue explaining, but by then he had already led me to a device that looked like a giant chimney.

Whether it was a machine or an instrument, I couldn't tell, but the large chimney in front of me stood upright, at least 200 meters tall. Knowing that Buweiluo intended to take me inside, I didn't ask further questions. Just like before, we passed through the door and entered.

The inside of this giant chimney resembled an office space in our world, with dimensions about 50 meters in length and width. However, unlike our offices, here the tables and chairs were connected, arranged freely both on the ground and in the air, and at every height, there were aliens working. The walls here seemed to be made of glass—or maybe screens—constantly flashing with symbols, images, and various streams of data.

Suddenly, I noticed something strange: there were no stairs. How were the aliens suspended in the air getting up there? Could the desks and chairs fly too? They probably could.

Before I could react, a blue beam of light shot out from somewhere, shining on me and Buweiluo. I didn't feel anything at all. Just as I was wondering, our bodies flashed simultaneously for less than a second, and we were now standing on the highest work platform.

"It's unbelievable," I thought, feeling deeply shaken. During the teleportation, I didn't feel a thing in my body, only a slight blur in my vision.

"Welcome, Brother Ji Wufan, to our Alliance as a guest. During your stay, feel free to make any requests as long as they are reasonable. The alliance will meet your needs, so please don't hesitate and enjoy yourself," said a voice.

As I was still reflecting on the teleportation, I suddenly heard it and saw 5 aliens of different races standing in front of me. They varied in height and appearance, but fortunately, none of them looked too peculiar or frightening. They greeted me with respect.

The one who had spoken to me earlier was a tall, beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing at least 2.3 meters tall. She looked very similar as a human woman. Her skin was very white, her face flawless and stunningly beautiful, yet there was no trace of makeup.

As I gazed at this breathtaking woman once again, I had to look up at her due to her height, trying hard to control my blushing. Yet, in reality, I had already turned red. After holding back for quite a while, I finally managed to say a few words: "Thank you, it's an honor to be a guest here."

"Hmm."

All the aliens nodded and sat down. Buweiluo, who was beside me, gestured for me to take a seat as well. When I turned to look behind me, I noticed that at some point, a transparent, gleaming armchair had appeared, which hadn't been there before.

Without giving it much thought, I sat down, immediately feeling as though the armchair had been custom-made for me. It was soft and incredibly comfortable. Buweiluo sat beside me, and in front of us were 5 aliens of different species, each sitting in a chair that perfectly suited them.

"Brother Ji Wufan, Buweiluo has already explained why we invited you here. After you leave, we would appreciate it if you could send a message. The 6 of us represent 6 intelligent civilizations, including Earth's indigenous people and alien civilizations, together on behalf of the Alliance. We welcome you as a gesture of our sincerity and respect. Other civilizations are busy with other matters and couldn't be here to greet you, so we ask for your understanding," the blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman said to me again.

Upon hearing this, I quickly reassured her, telling them not to be so polite, though I was already overwhelmed with honor. For such advanced and intelligent civilizations to welcome me with such humility was already rare. After all, I am just an ordinary human who has never been treated as anyone special. The fact that 6 civilizations were represented here to greet me gave me already an immense honor.

I then thought to myself, for the entire Alliance to give such a grand reception, the guest would have to come from a civilization far superior to the alliance. But human civilization is not even worthy of such regard. It is only because I am here as a guest that I am receiving this special treatment.
