Chapter 6: The Alien Headquarters

"Huh? A dragon?"
Just as I was about to tell Buweiluo, "I can't accept it," I suddenly spotted a mythical Chinese dragon in another transparent space within the metallic wall. I was instantly shocked, and then excitement took over—after all, as Chinese, the descendants of Yan and Huang have always been called the "Descendants of the Dragon."
I had always thought dragon was just a myth, but here I was, seeing one with my own eyes. Not only in China, but barely anyone in the world has ever seen something like this.
I looked excitedly at Buweiluo, who gave me a nod of permission. I quickly hurried over to the glass doorway, eager to take a closer look at this world. What I saw left me utterly speechless. Inside the space, there were not only mountains and rivers, but also all kinds of dragons. I even spotted legendary creatures like the qilin, the phoenix, western dragons, griffins, and many more—both those I knew from Chinese and foreign mythologies, and others I had never even heard of. These mythical beasts were more majestic and fierce than I could have ever imagined, yet they all lived peacefully together.
Turning to Buweiluo, who had come to stand beside me, I suppressed my overwhelming excitement and curiosity, asking, "Where did you find this hidden paradise? How is the Alliance able to keep them? We humans have only ever told stories about them, but here they are, alive and well. These mythical creatures were once said to roam the surface, so why are they hidden away now? And how did you manage to make them live together so peacefully?"
"Hidden paradise? This base is located 50,000 meters underground. With human technology, it's not only impossible to discover it, but you couldn't even reach it," Buweiluo explained patiently, never mocking my questions despite his advanced knowledge. "We are now in the central hub of the base, and the various worlds you see around us are all laboratory spaces. These environments, including the sunlight, were created using the universal energy field's physical technology."
"As for why we keep these creatures instead of allowing them to live on the surface, which has now relegated them to myth, the answer is simple—for their protection. Over time, as the human population grew and civilizations advanced, their survival became severely threatened. Many ancient species were hunted nearly to extinction by your ancestors. The Alliance gathered these creatures to study them and ensure the survival of their species.
The reason they can live together peacefully is also straightforward. The law of the jungle, where the strong prey on the weak, exists only because of the need to survive, to find food and stay alive. The Alliance ensures they are well-fed and comfortable, so naturally, they live in harmony. Over generations, they have been tamed, and now they are fully domesticated. Using universal energy field's telepathic communication technology, we can interact with them, understanding and fulfilling their needs."
"50,000 meters underground?" I was both puzzled and amazed. "How did you manage to reach such a depth?"
Even though I'm not well-versed in nature or science, I still know some basics. The deeper you go into the Earth, the higher the temperature, the stronger the pressure, and the more chaotic the magnetic field becomes, making life impossible. Even machines struggle to drill that deep. I remember reading about Soviet drilling efforts, and they reportedly had to stop when they reached just over 10,000 meters because the heat melted even the custom-made drill heads. I couldn't understand how the Alien Alliance managed to pull it off!
"Just because humans can't do it doesn't mean we can't," Buweiluo replied. "It's like how ancient people wouldn't understand how a metal structure like an airplane could fly. Oh, and there's something else you should know—our prehistoric civilization and the Alien Alliance use 'electromagnetic gravitational mirror technology' to lock down the solar system, including Earth. Because of this, the physical laws within Earth's core and the space around the solar system differ slightly. This has caused some discrepancies in your scientific research and exploration.
In other words, the physical laws you humans have grasped are slightly flawed—about 10% off. This has led to errors in some of your advanced mathematical equations and physical principles, limiting your breakthroughs and leaving your system of knowledge incomplete. It's normal that you've been educated under this flawed system, but from now on, you'll need to adjust your understanding. I'll guide you through this process."
Buweiluo's explanation left me speechless once again, completely stunned.
Once I regained my composure, he continued, "Every Alliance outpost is located deep underground, with the shallowest being over 30,000 meters, and the main headquarters sits at a depth of 100,000 meters. As for the issues you raised about high temperatures, extreme pressure, and chaotic magnetic fields, the Alliance has long since solved those problems. In fact, the dangers below aren't limited to those factors—there are also harmful radiation, toxic gases, and ancient bacteria and viruses.
Additionally, the thick mantle is incredibly tough, and current human technology is nowhere near capable of breaking it down or utilizing it. But for us, these challenges are easy to handle. Even back in the time of our Sanziyao civilization, we had already solved these problems. Once you have advanced technology, you'll realize that building homes and bases deep underground is the safest option. Plus, the resources found at those depths are incredibly abundant—practically limitless. If you're interested, I can explain more about that later."
"We're heading to the headquarters now. You need to check in first, sort of like clocking in at work for humans, and then we won't have any other formalities. Over the next few days, feel free to ask me anything, and as long as it's something I'm allowed to share, I'll tell you. Whatever you want to play with, I can make it happen—there's nothing I can't do. If I can't do it, I'll call you 'big brother'." Buweiluo joked.
As our conversations went on, we became much more open with each other, almost like good friends who could talk about anything. Writing this now, I realize: whether it's advanced aliens, they are all living creatures, not machines or stones.
Where there's life, there are thoughts and emotions, just like the "7- emotions and 6-desires" we talk about in human life. Even though they possess more advanced technology, they still experience the same basic feelings. Their advancements don't make them as mysterious as we imagine. Just think of them as another intelligent species. A little tip: if you ever have the chance to meet aliens and they're friendly, there's no need to worry—just open up and communicate with them.
"Is this... a space teleportation device?" I asked, as Buweiluo brought me to a glowing machine. It emitted a fusion of vibrant, colorful lights that blended together naturally. It immediately reminded me of teleportation devices in the video games I used to play, where objects could be instantly transported across spaces to another location. Initially, I thought we'd be riding some kind of high-speed train or machine through underground tunnels to the Alliance's headquarters.
"Yes, you could think of it that way. It can instantly take us to the Alliance headquarters, and don't worry—it's perfectly safe," Buweiluo explained, noticing my astonished expression.
"You humans like to categorize the subjects you study into levels, which makes it easier for research. If we were to classify your current understanding of physics, you'd be at a little over level-3. Once you reach level-4, you will discover and master space and frequencies. At that point, you will be able to invent machines that create wormholes for space travel, stabilize spatial coordinates for teleportation, and explore other dimensions for adventure.
The machine before us is a 'Space-Time Transmitter', which we developed after reaching level-5 in physics, fully mastering the mysteries of space and time. It is powered by the universal energy field and controlled by an intelligent supercomputer."
"Oh," I muttered, feeling a bit uneasy as I stared at the machine, half-understanding what he meant. Buweiluo then pulled me into the Space-Time Transmitter.
Once inside, I realized that the space didn't differ much from the outside. There were no blinding lights or extreme heat, as I had imagined. Before I could think too much about it, without Buweiluo's contact with headquarters, I felt a brief sensation of dizziness, my vision went black for a second, and then I found myself in a new location. My body felt normal, and the surrounding space seemed perfectly comfortable, thanks to the Alliance's universal energy field which constantly adjusting the environment around me.
The sight before me once again left me with my mouth wide open in shock. Although I had mentally prepared myself, I still wasn't ready for the shock.
Compared to the division base we were in earlier, which was like a small village, the headquarters felt like a bustling metropolis. I saw countless different alien species moving about, at least 40 distinct types by my estimate. Some were large, others small, some were beautiful, and some were frightening. There were also those who looked almost human, and I felt a slight sense of familiarity with them, though I was sure they were not human.
Each alien wore different outfits, unlike anything I could describe with words. However, they all had one thing in common: their clothing was form-fitting, with flowing, dynamic images displayed on the fabric. I couldn't make sense of the imagery, though.
Our arrival didn't cause any commotion. In fact, very few aliens even glanced my way, which left me feeling somewhat disappointed. I had already guessed that I held little status in the eyes of the aliens, that the Alliance had only chosen me to relay a message. I didn't expect a grand welcome, but the indifference around me made me feel a bit down, as if I were representing a species too insignificant.
I thought to myself, humans are much more welcoming. If humanity ever discovered aliens and knew they were visiting Earth, the United Nations would surely roll out the red carpet and give them a grand reception…
Just then, Buweiluo nudged me, signaling for me to follow him. Snapping out of my thoughts, I continued observing the surroundings. I noticed that the technological devices here were much larger, more numerous, and clearly more advanced than at the division base. They were of all colors and shapes, though with my limited knowledge, I found it hard to describe their forms. Most of the devices emitted light. Some were as big as houses, while others were as towering and majestic as skyscrapers.
I later learned that many of these medium-sized machines were multi-purpose—combining both research and living spaces. The aliens could work inside them, and when tired, they could rest. Their lives were extremely convenient.
