Chapter 37: Yao Shun Yu, and the Xia Shang Zhou Dynasties

"After your ancient ancestor, the Yellow Emperor, departed with the Sirius civilization, the Alliance initially planned to take over this ancient tribe. However, at that very moment, a new extraterrestrial civilization from the direction of Polaris, located over 400 light-years away from our Solar system, arrived."

"Wait, the Polaris civilization? I've read online that Polaris is a star, and there haven't been many other stars or planets discovered around it. How could there be life and a civilization there? And wasn't the Solar system sealed off by the Alliance? How did they discover the Earth?" I couldn't help but voice the questions swirling in my mind.

"The Polaris star system does harbor life and a highly advanced civilization. They've long sealed off their own star system to avoid disturbances, so even with your human technology, like radio telescopes, you wouldn't detect anything.

Meanwhile, the Polaris civilization had been aware of our Solar system for a long time and had been observing it from afar. They initially had no plans to make the long journey. However, after the Interstellar  Alliance sealed off the Solar system, the Polaris civilization, out of curiosity, sent a spacecraft to investigate. They used their technology to contact the Alliance and requested a visit. The Alliance, seeing no hostility and considering them old neighbors, allowed the Polaris civilization to drop by as guests."

Buweiro's explanation left me somewhat amused and exasperated.

"After arriving, the Polaris civilization offered the Alliance some technological insights as a gesture of goodwill and requested to study the Solar system. The Alliance, seeing the benefits, handed over several  ancient unclaimed tribes to the Polaris civilization for research, on the condition that they would not employ cruel or unethical methods, or else they would be asked to leave. The Polaris civilization readily agreed.

At that time, the leader of the Chinese tribe was Zhuan Xu 颛顼. Thanks to his inherited intelligence, he was a capable leader who could comprehend the ways of the Polaris civilization and follow their directives. During Zhuan Xu's era, the Alliance had already completely sealed off Earth, ordered all alien species to leave human sight, and refrained from interfering with humanity's natural development. This marked the end of Earth's extraordinary interactions with extraterrestrial beings, eliminating the bizarre phenomena of earlier times.

It was from this period onward that legends about Zhuan Xu began to evolve in later generations, such as his decree to sever communication between heaven and earth, cutting down the sacred Jianmu tree, and prohibiting humanity from interacting with deities. Other myths, like Gong Gong crashing into Mount Buzhou and the ultimate separation of gods and humans, also stem from this era.

In reality, these legends have nothing to do with Zhuan Xu. He was merely a witness to history. Since he was the tribal leader, people later associated him with these stories."

"So that's how it is. I've heard the legends about Zhuan Xu and even felt regret, wondering why this ancient leader would sever the connection between humans and deities, preventing future generations from cultivating or contacting divine beings. Turns out, it wasn't his doing.

By the way, after Zhuan Xu, the ancient leaders were Emperor Ku 喾, Yao 尧, Shun 舜, and Yu 禹, followed by the Xia Dynasty. Did these later leaders also know about the Polaris civilization?"

Throughout China's vast and ancient history, the early tribal leaders and emperors left behind many myths and legends that seem inexplicable. I used to find these stories puzzling, but after visiting the inner Earth, I began to feel that most of them might be connected to extraterrestrial civilizations.

"Yes, those four ancient leaders you mentioned all understood the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations, specifically the Polaris civilization. The ignorant masses of their time simply didn't understand this." Buweiro continued, noticing my look of partial understanding: "Zhuan Xu died of natural causes and passed his position to his nephew, Emperor Ku.

Emperor Ku was not only capable of shouldering great responsibilities but was also a highly intelligent figure of ancient times. He could comprehend the intentions of extraterrestrial civilizations and was willing to follow the directives of the Polaris civilization. The three subsequent leaders—Yao, Shun and Yu—were the same. Before they ascended to power, they were informed of the Polaris civilization's secrets by their predecessors. If they couldn't accept or understand it, they would be deemed unfit by the Polaris civilization and would not inherit the leadership.

Although these ancient leaders couldn't study advanced technology like modern scientists, they understood that every star in the sky represented a vast world. Some of these worlds harbored life and advanced technology and occasionally visited the Earth for observation. They didn't blindly worship these beings as Gods. This level of understanding was sufficient.

During their era, extraterrestrial spacecraft or UFOs frequently conducted open investigations of ancient humans. They didn't hide from people as they do today. For instance, during Yao's reign, various alien ships were often spotted investigating human activity near the Western Sea. Whenever they appeared, local fishermen would see them.

These enormous, glowing ships were mistaken by locals as celestial palaces. This incident was reported to Yao, but he understood what was happening and didn't pay much attention to it. Later, this event was recorded by historians and became known as the legend of the 'Guan Yue Cha' (Moon-Piercing Raft). You can even look up this piece of ancient history on your phone—it continued all the way until the end of Yu's reign."

"Huh? Why did it stop at Yu's reign? Did some major upheaval or great war occur?" Hearing this, I couldn't help but worry about our ancient ancestors.

"That wasn't the case," Buweiro reassured me. "This time, the Alliance maintained control, ensuring that no other extraterrestrial civilizations dared to act recklessly from then on."

The main reason for this is that the Polaris civilization conducted research on Earth for several centuries and engaged in technological exchanges and discussions with the Alliance and other extraterrestrial civilizations. Once their objectives were achieved, they left the Earth during the later years of Yu's reign. Yu was aware of this, and it partly explains why, after Yu's death, his son Qi rebelled, declared himself as the king, and established a hereditary monarchy known as "family rule".

When Qi began ruling, he acted without restraint, doing as he pleased because no one was there to guide or regulate him. Qi didn't know the secrets of extraterrestrial civilizations, and without their care, his family's lifespan grew increasingly shorter, eventually resembling that of ordinary humans.

In fact, the weakening of their bloodline began with Zhuan Xu. However, each ancient leader still managed to live beyond 100 years. By Qi's time, the genetic weakening became more evident—he lived only to 78. Subsequent generations gradually had normal lifespans like other humans."

Buweiro's explanation was eye-opening for me once again. So many secrets are hidden within ancient times! I've always enjoyed studying my country's history, and I know that both official histories and folk tales record countless baffling stories. Some strange phenomena can be explained today with science or logic, but many legends remain enigmatic. Could they be related to extraterrestrials?

With that thought in mind, I asked Buweiro: "After Qi's Xia Dynasty, has any other extraterrestrial civilization interfered in the development of our history?"

"Following the strengthening and refinement of the Alliance's restrictions, most extraterrestrial civilizations left the Earth and the Solar system. Those that remained were heavily restricted and refrained from interfering with the Earth's natural development. This allowed the Earth's species, including humans, to continue evolving naturally without needing the Alliance to constantly clean up after others. So, after your Xia Dynasty, the Earth's history was largely free from extraterrestrial interference.

The few extraterrestrial civilizations that remained occasionally captured the Earth's species for research, but their impact on humanity was nearly zero due to the Alliance's surveillance. However, there were special cases. Let me tell you some funny jokes.

During your country's Shang Dynasty, there was a king named Wu Yi 武乙. He was an intelligent and capable leader with an advanced mindset for his time. Over 3,000 years ago, he already had the idea that all things in the universe must follow the laws of nature.

This was nothing, but he relied on his intelligence and insight to become disrespectful of ghosts and gods. Although he suppressed the witchcraft culture around him in order to consolidate his royal power, he often mocked the ancient ghost culture, which was also an indirect contempt for the ancient alien civilization.

Finally, one day, an extraterrestrial civilization couldn't tolerate his arrogance anymore and used their technology to strike him down with a bolt of lightning. This event caused the ancient people and future generations to interpret it as divine retribution, instilling even greater fear and reverence for supernatural beliefs."

"I know about this historical event! I used to think it was just a coincidence, but now I see it was orchestrated by an extraterrestrial civilization. What a pity for that king. He was born in the wrong era. If he had lived in modern times, he would've undoubtedly been an outstanding scientist.

By the way, from what I saw and heard yesterday, I now know that dragons are real creatures. But what about the 'Kunpeng' 鹍鹏 recorded in ancient texts? Was it a species brought by aliens from their home planet, or an enormous creature that went extinct on the Earth?"  

"Neither of your guesses is correct. In fact, it was an alien spacecraft," Buweiro explained, leaving me stunned. "It was your country's ancestors who saw an alien spacecraft at sea. They were first amazed by its massive size and then noticed that this giant object could both soar into the sky and dive into the sea.  

They thought hard about it, realizing they had never seen such a creature before. While legendary beasts like Dragons, Qilins 麒麟, and the Black Tortoise 玄武 were said to have similar abilities, the spacecraft looked nothing like these mythical creatures. Unable to understand what they had seen, they returned home to ask others, but no one knew either. Over time, as the story spread and evolved, it became known as the 'Kunpeng' and was eventually recorded in historical texts."

I listened with great interest and asked Buweiro: "Since we're talking about the history after ancient times, could you just tell me more? Throughout the long course of our country's later history, were there any other events or notable figures influenced or interfered with by extraterrestrial civilizations? I'm really curious."
