Chapter 27: Sirius and the Anunnaki Civilization

Buweiro paused for a moment before continuing: "There's one more thing I need to tell you. Back then, behind Neptune was the planet Nibiru, and behind Nibiru was Pluto. Nibiru was massive, almost the size of Jupiter, large enough to qualify as a planet. However, it was destroyed during a great conflict, and most of its fragments were pulled into the Kuiper Belt by gravity.
Back then, this terrestrial planet was remote and cold, and was loved by the alien civilization called the Anunnaki, which was a Primary Civilization from a planet in the Orion constellation.
The Anunnaki race was able to adapt to the environment of the planet Nibiru due to their huge and strong size. Later, they came to the Earth to establish a base for long-term scientific research and created the Sumerian Civilization on Earth."
"The Sumerian civilization is real? And Nibiru, a terrestrial planet almost the size of Jupiter? What a big land planet! If humans could live on Nibiru, with its vast land and abundant resources, we wouldn't have to worry about issues like limited territory or housing shortages. Every man could find a wife. Why destroy it? What a pity!" I had never heard of the planet Nibiru before, and I felt a pang of regret. Deep inside, I blamed those extraterrestrial civilizations for their recklessness.
Hearing about the Sumerian civilization shocked me once again. I had heard the legends but never thought they were true.
"The Sumerian civilization is indeed real," Buweiro confirmed. "As I mentioned before, the Solar system once had nine major planets, including Nibiru. When extraterrestrial civilizations arrived in the Solar system, they reported to the Interstellar Alliance. Once approved, they could temporarily reside here. Due to the sheer number of extraterrestrial civilizations visiting the Earth at that time, the Anunnaki, who preferred quiet and cold environments, parked their ships on Nibiru, sending only a small number of individuals to conduct research on each planet.
On the Earth, the Anunnaki were regarded as God by ancient humans. Once, the Anunnaki Civilization and the Sirius Civilization had a war. At that time, Sirius and its companion star were not what they are now. They were both normal stars, and each star had several large and small planets orbiting and rotating. The Sirius species developed civilization on the largest planet..
Unexpectedly, the dispute between the two families involved their respective allies. The conflict turned into an all-out war involving over a dozen extraterrestrial civilizations, leading to the destruction of Nibiru. Sirius suffered even worse; all its planets, including the Sirian homeworld, were annihilated.
This catastrophic battle even saw the use of specialized anti-gravity missiles equipped with magnetic field-enhanced nuclear fusion accelerators, which were unleashed on Sirius's two stars. While the stars were not completely destroyed, they were significantly aged and destabilized. Their gravitational balance shifted, leaving them as lifeless stellar remnants incapable of hosting planets."
Listening to Buweiro's words left me with chills. Though his tone was calm, I could vividly imagine the super battles of that era.
"Why did the two civilizations go to war? Was it over resources? That seems unlikely—you mentioned before that Primary Civilizations could harness nuclear fusion, providing them with an endless supply of energy that could also be extracted elsewhere. Was it for faith? What happened later?" I asked Buweiro after I got over the shock.
"It was a struggle for technological dominance," Buweiro explained. "Once a civilization reaches the stage of Primary Civilization, all religions will be eliminated. Even if there is still faith, it is just sentiment. As time goes by, faith will disappear. Primary Civilizations will not make a big fuss for the previous faith.
As I mentioned before, many extraterrestrial civilizations roam the universe not just out of curiosity, exploration, or adventure. Sometimes, they encounter other civilizations and exchange technologies and knowledge, learning from each other's strengths and collaborating for mutual advancement. This was the case with the Anunnaki and the Sirius Civilizations back then. However, after a major technological breakthrough, disputes over dominance erupted, eventually dragging other civilizations into the chaos.
In the end, the Interstellar Alliance reported the incident to the Star Federation Union. After all, this wasn't a minor skirmish. After investigating the causes, the enforcement team first took back the new technologies developed by both sides. They found the Anunnaki Civilization at fault and forced it to leave the Milky Way and never come back. This included all their bases and branches, which explains the sudden disappearance of the Sumerian Civilization on the Earth.
As for the Sirius civilization, they had already lost their technology, their planetary home, and even their star system, which had been gravely damaged. The Galactic Enforcement Team decided not to further penalize the Sirians. The ancient humans on Earth initially observed Sirius as a red star, but now it appears blue-white. This rapid change over a few thousand years was caused by the energy within Sirius being consumed at an accelerated rate due to the damage it sustained."
I had heard of the legends surrounding Sirius and its oddities, but hearing Buweiro's explanation revealed the truth behind its unusual color.
"The war between the Sirius and Anunnaki Civilizations took place in outer space, specifically near the edge of the Solar system, so the impact on the Solar system itself wasn't significant. However, the Interstellar Alliance took the incident very seriously and began closely monitoring other extraterrestrial civilizations. Many years passed without major events, and the Alliance grew complacent and lax.
But 65 million years ago, another conflict erupted between extraterrestrial civilizations over a dispute. The attack was so swift that the Alliance couldn't stop it in time, resulting in severe damage to the Earth and the mass extinction of most dinosaurs. In the end, the Galactic Enforcement Team exterminated both of the warring civilizations, sending a strong message to other extraterrestrial civilizations."
Once I calmed down, Buweiro continued: "The last major conflict on the Earth occurred 5,000 years ago, which was also one of the most chaotic periods in the Earth's history. This time, however, the Alliance was better prepared and worked together to minimize the damage. Otherwise, the disaster could have rivaled the dinosaur extinction event, and humanity itself might not have survived.
After resolving this last conflict, the Interstellar Alliance applied to the Star Federation Union to blockade the Solar system. Once approved, humanity began to enjoy its isolated and peaceful life, free from external interference."
"A major conflict just 5,000 years ago?" I exclaimed. "That's not very long ago, but I didn't expect it to be the most serious. I was going to ask for more details about each conflict, but another thought just crossed my mind. Since we're talking about the Earth, can we discuss some of the mysterious phenomena on the surface? There are so many unsolved mysteries that intrigue humanity, and I'd love to hear your explanations for some of them."
