Chapter 19: Intelligent Species in the Solar System

“Descendants of ancient Martians, and modern Venusian beings?” I was a bit puzzled by Buweiro’s explanation.

“The oldest ancestors and descendants of Earth, Mars, and Venus are quite different. Think about the appearance of ancient humans compared to modern humans, and you’ll understand.” Buweiro’s words suddenly enlightened me. He continued:

“Think carefully: if humans were to advance to a Primary Civilization, you would likely use medical technology to modify your bodies—making them stronger, prolonging lifespans, enhancing abilities. Over time, these gradual changes would eventually alter your physical appearance.”

“Oh, I get it now.” I thought of a new topic and asked, “Can I ask you something? When was the Interstellar Alliance formed? How many intelligent species are part of it? How many alien species are there on Earth? I read online that there are hundreds. Is that true?”

“Hundreds of alien civilizations? There aren’t nearly that many! If there were, Earth would be overrun with chaos, disrupting human life completely. Those numbers are made up by bored individuals or conspiracy theorists. When you think about it carefully, it’s simply impossible.”

Buweiro’s explanation made me blush with embarrassment—I realized how abrupt my question had been.

“The Interstellar Alliance initially consisted of the intelligent species of Earth, Venus, and Mars. Over time, the number fluctuated, sometimes including over a dozen species. Once the three of us advanced to a mid-level civilization, we had enough strength to avoid being bullied by others, which gradually attracted other alien civilizations to join us.” Buweiro’s explanation clarified a lot for me, and he continued:

“With the growing strength of the Alliance, we worked together to adjust the orbital trajectories of the Solar system’s planets. After countless years of painstaking effort, we ensured that the gas giants—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—would block Earth’s path, minimizing the threat of meteor disasters and hostile alien invasions.

Your species once had a genius scientist named Tesla. Unfortunately, he was overlooked by your kind. He was the first to speculate that the Solar system might have been artificially created. And he wasn’t far off — indeed, the Solar system was designed and modified by the Alliance.

As the Solar system’s design improved — becoming well-defended and strategically advantageous — alien civilizations arriving on Earth became cautious. Many requested to join the Alliance, and if they passed the review, they were accepted. Eventually, the name ‘Interstellar Alliance’ was adopted. With time, it grew stronger, evolving into its current scale.

Today, the Interstellar Alliance includes 20 intelligent civilizations, comprising Earth, Mars, Venus, and species from nearby systems and constellations—all of which are primary civilizations. On Earth, there are 11 alien civilizations that have not joined the Alliance. Aside from the previously mentioned Barihui Intermediate Civilization, the rest are primary civilizations. Though they haven’t joined, they are required to follow Alliance regulations and must not interfere with the Solar system or human life.”

“Oh, I see. So, there are a total of 31 civilizations—not as many as I thought. What are the non-member alien civilizations doing hidden on Earth? Are they all hiding underground? Does the Alliance interact with them often?” Learning that the number of hidden aliens on Earth wasn’t as high as I feared gave me a sense of relief.

“Non-member alien civilizations on Earth include those who hide to evade the Interstellar Alliance’s rules, hoping to develop into Intermediate Civilization in secret and leave — avoiding the constraints of Super Civilization laws. This scenario is quite common across the galaxy.

Others are refugees, fleeing from stronger intelligent civilizations in other regions and seeking sanctuary on Earth. Some are simply curious about Earth and come to observe and study it. Others aim to exchange knowledge with the Alliance, among other reasons.

Regardless of their motives, any aliens arriving on Earth are detected by the Alliance and must sign a ‘Peace Treaty’ to operate secretly on the planet. They are monitored by the Alliance daily.”

Buweiro continued explaining: “There aren’t many alien civilizations on Earth—their numbers are strictly controlled by the Alliance. However, the number of alien civilizations hidden on other planets and moons in the Solar system is much higher. Even so, they are still required to abide by the Alliance’s treaties.

Some planets in the Solar system have a dozen or even dozens of alien civilizations, and the same goes for moons. Even if conflicts occur among them, as long as they don’t affect Earth, it’s fine. And yes, even our Star—the Sun—houses alien civilizations within it.”

My heart skipped a beat. “So many alien species exist in the Solar system—why have humans never been able to discover them? I can understand terrestrial planets like Mercury and the Moon allowing aliens to hide underground, but what about gas giants like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune? And how can alien civilizations survive inside the Sun?”

“In fact, with the development of technology in recent years, the top leaders of your human race have already discovered that there are alien civilizations in the Solar system, and the Alliance has not deliberately concealed it from you. However, your leaders refuse to disclose it, and the United Nations does not permit such revelations. Anyone who dares to make this public will be suppressed, silenced, or even eliminated.”

Buweiro’s words left me utterly astonished. He continued:

“As for how to enter a star, the principle is simple. You just need to fully master nuclear fusion, nuclear fission, and electromagnetic gravity. By generating a powerful electromagnetic gravity field around a spacecraft, you can insulate it from the Star’s temperatures and penetrate inside.

The electromagnetic gravity field can continuously absorb hydrogen and helium from the Star and convert them into nuclear energy—this is actually the most rudimentary method. Intermediate and advanced Civilizations manipulate spatial dimensions or traverse parallel spaces to enter the Star’s interior. They can even explore black holes using these methods.”

“Incredible!” When I heard that there are alien civilizations living inside the sun, I sighed sincerely. It can extract energy all the time, and it is also the best defense barrier. Using the sun as protection can offset most attacks. It is really a good place that is easy to defend but difficult to attack. Then I thought of a contradiction.

“Didn’t you say that the ancient ancestors of Earth, Mars, and Venus had already advanced to a high-level civilization? Why is Interstellar Alliance on Earth still considered a Primary Civilization?”

“Well,” Buweiro hesitated, “after the formation of the Super Civilizations Star Federation Union, they began strictly regulating the number of primary, intermediate, and advanced civilizations to ensure that even if conflicts arose, everything would remain under their control.

Unfortunately, due to the remoteness and desolation of our Solar system, the Advanced Civilization technology and all epics were taken back, and it became what it is now. Similarly, the Star Federation Union has the responsibility to protect all life. If there are problems that our Solar system cannot solve, we can apply to them for solutions, and the same goes for other civilizations.”

“Hmm, I’ve seen short videos claiming that humans are a Low-Level civilization, but alien civilizations don’t dare bully us because an Advanced Civilization secretly protects us. What you said today instantly gave me a boost of confidence. It turns out that the real backer of mankind is Super Civilization!”

After learning about the complex relationships and struggles within the galaxy, I felt both overwhelmed and relieved.

“Having said that,” Buweiro remarked, “you humans have a very good saying, ‘People are safest when they rely on themselves’. The Interstellar Alliance has a much longer history than you humans, so you naturally understand this truth. In order to have the initiative in the Solar system and not be the host, the Alliance has been working hard to transform the Solar system for tens of thousands of years.

The Alliance has equipped the Sun, the eight planets, each planet’s moons, countless large asteroids, and even the fragments within the Solar system’s surrounding Kuiper Belt with intelligent anti-gravity missiles that can be activated at any time. This has turned the entire Solar system into an impenetrable, strategically versatile super-military base capable of both offense and defense.

In the event of a threat, countermeasures can be launched instantly from various locations. For example, if one location comes under attack, countless pre-set anti-gravity missiles can launch simultaneously, coordinating from inside and outside to leave enemies with no escape. If a Primary Civilization is hit by many anti-gravity missiles inside the Solar system, it can be blown to pieces; Intermediate Civilizations can perish together; Advanced Civilizations can be severely damaged. The combined power of many anti-gravity missiles can even blast out a Black Hole.

It was only after the Interstellar Alliance developed this desperate countermeasure that it truly deterred all alien civilizations from misbehaving within the Solar system. To enter, they must first register and confirm they won’t disrupt the Solar system before being permitted to settle.”

“Wow, so the entire Solar system is rigged with these ‘ time bombs’, intimidating other civilizations. No wonder they don’t dare act recklessly—this is a brilliant strategy! It’s like something out of a novel—a defensive array that can both attack and defend, with enough power to destroy higher-level enemies.

With the Sun and the four gas giants as permanent resources, it’s no wonder our tiny Solar system hasn’t been bullied by alien civilizations all these years. Even against Advanced Civilizations, we’d have the capability to go down together.” After Buweiro’s explanation, I couldn’t help but marvel again.

“Yes,” Buweiro nodded. “Ever since the Solar system’s defenses were completed, the Interstellar Alliance also installed electromagnetic gravity mirror technology inside every planet, moon, and countless asteroids. This technology connects the entire Solar system and creates a barrier. This is why, in recent years, your ‘Voyager 1‘ probe appeared to encounter a ‘firewall’ at the edge of the Solar system.

When other civilizations pass by the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, as long as they are not too close, whether they observe with a telescope or a radio telescope, they will regard our Solar system as a very ordinary, lifeless, and very desolate galaxy with no research value. This has allowed our Solar system to survive in peace for five thousand years.”

Buweiro smiled and added:

“The Solar system’s anti-gravity missiles and electromagnetic gravity mirror technologies were fully deployed 5,000 years ago. From their completion until now, the Solar system has avoided major catastrophes, allowing your ancestors to develop and create the brilliant civilization you live in today.”
